Leedy enters her third season as head coach of the Black Hills State University softball team in 2016.
During her second season, Leedy coached three All-Conference players, Katie Campo, Stefanie Witman and Alex Wiley while tallying four All-Academic players, Katie Campo, Erica Everson, Claire Ferguson and Alyx Penrod.
In her first season at BHSU, Leedy coached two all-conference players, Erica Everson and Nia Shumpert, two All-Academic players, Cassie Smith and Erica Everson, and tallied Black Hills State’s first ever All-Region player, Erica Everson. Leedy led the Yellow Jackets to a 12-35, 7-29 record in 2015. The seven conference wins are the most since BHSU joined the RMAC in 2012.
Leedy spent the 2013-14 season as the interim head coach at the University of Toledo, leading the Rockets to its best season since 2005 while helping the school to its first season with a winning percentage of .500 or better on its home field.
Having extensive experience in the travel ranks, Leedy compiled a record of 232-67 over five years for the Ohio Stingrays. She helped lead the Stingrays to two ASA State Championships and a Regional PGF title. She also helped 57 of her players earn college scholarships.
Along with the travel experience, Leedy was the varsity assistant coach for Lexington High School and Tuscarawas Central Catholic. She was also the head coach of Newcomerstown High School where she led the program to its first-ever winning record along with a sectional championship and district runner-up performances.
Leedy began her career as a player for Bluffton University as a three-way starter. Her squad was the 2004 Heartland HCAC Conference Champions and earned a ranking as high as 21st in the nation in NCAA Division III.
